Worker Representative Safety Course
TRAINING FOR THE EMPLOYEE ELECTED OR DESIGNATED TO REPRESENT WORKERS WITH REGARD TO HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK

RECIPIENTS
According to art. 47 of D.Lgs. 81/08 in all companies, or productive units, there is the Workers Representative for Safety, person "elected or designated to represent the workers with regard to the aspects of health and safety at work".

In companies employing up to 15 workers, the Safety Workers' Representative is usually elected directly from among the workers or identified for several companies in the territorial or productive sector.

In companies employing more than 15 workers, the Safety Workers' Representative is elected or appointed by the workers, within the framework of union representations in the company. In the absence of such representations he is elected by the workers to their internal.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Art. 37 D.Lgs. 81/08 paragraph 10 states that " the Workers' Representative for Safety is entitled to special training in health and safety concerning the specific risks existing in the areas in which he exercises his representation, to ensure adequate expertise on the main techniques of risk control and prevention.

Contents in compliance with current regulations and related requirements
At the end of the course will be issued certificate of attendance, proven attendance of at least 90% of the hours of training with verification of learning.

BASIC GENERAL TRAINING
• The training of the Workers Safety Representative is 32 hours for all sectors.

COURSE SCHEDULE
Constitutional and civil principles
General and special legislation on the prevention of occupational accidents and hygiene
The main players involved and their obligations
Definition and identification of risk factors
Risk Assessment
Identification of technical, organizational and procedural preventive measures (health surveillance, first aid, fire and evacuation)
Aspects and regulations of SGM
Notions of communication technique: how to give and receive information and the relationship between stakeholders in prevention

MANDATORY UPDATE

The mandatory update is annual.
The duration of the refresher course is:

•• for companies with up to 50 employees: 4 HOURS
•• for companies over 50 employees: 8 HOURS
