Training course for road signs operators

RECIPIENTS
According to art. 164 D.Lgs. 81/08 road operators must receive appropriate training, in particular in the form of instructions which must have as their object in particular the meaning of safety signs, especially when this involves the use of gestures or words, as well as general and specific behaviors to follow.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
The aim of the course is to provide road workers with operational techniques to be implemented in the presence of traffic, adequate to perform in safe conditions the activities of
• construction site installation
• removal of construction site
• entering and leaving the construction site manoeuvres
• emergency interventions.

BASIC GENERAL TRAINING
The training for road works is 12 hours

At the end of the course will be issued certificate of attendance attesting to participation in the hours of the course and verification of learning.

COURSE SCHEDULE

Regulatory Legal Form
• General safety legislation on accident prevention with particular reference to temporary and mobile construction sites in traffic
• articles of the Highway Code and its implementing regulations, governing the execution of works, warehouses and the opening of construction sites on roads of all classes
• analysis of the risks to which workers are exposed in the presence of traffic and those transmitted to users
• statistics of accidents and violations of road construction regulations in the presence of traffic

Technical module
• the technical specification for traffic sign schemes, differentiated by road category, to be adopted for temporary signalling
• personal protective equipment: high visibility clothing
•teamwork organization, operator tasks and communication modes
• operational and behavioural rules for the safe execution of planned and emergency interventions (see Annex I of the decree)

Practical module
• on communication and simulation of training on installation techniques and removal of road construction signs on:
•••• or Type A, B, D roads (motorways, main suburban roads, urban freeways)
•••• or roads of type C, F (suburban secondary roads and suburban premises)
•••• or streets of type E, F (neighbourhood urban streets and urban venues)
• investment techniques using "mobile construction sites"
• safety investment techniques for emergency situations
